When Sonotone Shawnee first opened its doors in April of 1947, the founder likely didn’t foresee a legacy spanning over seven decades!

Initially established in downtown Shawnee, Oklahoma, the practice was later renamed Allan’s Hearing Center and moved to Benedict Street, where it remained for over 30 years. In 1990, Dr. Kurt Kalies took over from his father, Frank, rebranding the practice as Hearing Health Care, Inc. The clinic moved to Kickapoo Avenue in 2011 and, in 2019, underwent a major renovation, opening a fresh, modern space. In 2024, Dr. Calyn Russ-Whitt purchased the practice, continuing its longstanding commitment to the Shawnee community.

We offer a full range of diagnostic and preventive hearing health care professional services, including hearing aid screenings, hearing evaluations, hearing aids sales, and rehabilitative and preventive counseling. We are dedicated to keeping abreast of the latest improvements in technological advancements in the hearing industry and are committed to offering the most current options to our patients.
